Project Summary

artSMART is produced by the Parramatta Artists Studios, Parramatta City Council and is an Australian Government funded initiative under the Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business program.

artSMART: building sustainable creative industries provides the creative industries sector and artists with the necessary skills to increase the sustainability of running their small business.artSMART will deliver a free integrated skills package through a series of 18 workshops. artSMART provides skills such as marketing, e-business, taxation management, intellectual property and copyright management, capital raising through various ways, peer review, asset and collection management and occupational health and safety which are critical in developing and maintaining sustainable creative industry businesses especially in the Western Sydney. Participants come from the creative industry and arts sector which include but not limited to designers, artists, musicians, film makers, writers, performers, curators and cultural workers who live or work in Western Sydney.
