In My Grandmother's House - A Clarence Valley Intergenerational Writers' Project
Project Summary
20 young and older writers joined together to undertake a contemporary creative writing and performance project which included a 2 day intensive workshop with nationally renowned authors Sarah Armstrong and Alan Close. Writers developed skills and shared stories in the spirit of intergenerational exchange and understanding, and submitted a piece of writing for the anthology based on the theme In My Grandmother’s House. The launch of the anthology included a reader’s theatre style performance by Grafton Theatre Company at the Grafton Regional Gallery. Excerpts from every story were performed to an enthusiastic audience. Copies of In My Grandmother’s House: an anthology of writing from across the ages, were distributed and the anthology is housed in the Clarence Valley Council Regional Library Collection.
